Update 04/14/2025: The weekend saw some good news with regard to tariffs and iPhone 17. U.S. Customs and Border Patrol have officially excluding a variety of goods from reciprocal tariffs — including the additional 125% tariffs imposed against Chinese goods that went into effect in early April.
However US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick has since confirmed that this is only temporary. iPhones and other electronics will be subject to a separate "semiconductor tariff" that will be announced in the coming weeks. If that's the case, and those tariffs last until this fall, then the iPhone 17 will end up being subject to price increases as a result.
