It’s hard to fathom that come Monday, Succession will be done for good.
Over the years, fans have speculated and looked to Shakespeare to try and figure out how the show will end and come Monday night, all will be revealed.
Even with just 90 minutes left of the incredible series, there are so many questions that remain unanswered.
It’s no longer a simple question of who will be Logan Roy’s successor. Right now there are so many moving parts, literally anything could happen.
At this stage all we know for sure is that it’s going to get “nasty”.
Obviously, spoilers ahead for Succession.
Who will be in charge in the end?
It’s the most obvious question and it could be just about anyone.
Perhaps if the GoJo deal fails, it could be either Kendall or Roman, or both.
With Roman’s misplaced trust in Mencken and his meltdown at the funeral, Kendall looks primed to be the sole CEO.
However, Kendall has a tendency to be a little unstable – could fulfilling his dream push him over the edge?
Maybe Kendall has become the “killer” Logan wanted him to be all along, but that could just be his undoing. Will becoming CEO be worth it in the end?
If the deal goes through, will Siobhan be the American CEO the president-elect wants, or will it be someone else entirely?
Siobhan also finally revealed to her family that she is pregnant, perhaps instead of seeking out the top position, she will choose to be the mother she never had for her unborn child.
With Mencken and Lukas Matsson holding a significant amount of power, they could overlook all the siblings and install someone else entirely, like Tom, who always aims to please.
Some think Greg might be the one, but there’s Gerri and Frank, or even Stewy, who could cinch a victory in the final moments.
Succession has often been compared to Shakespeare’s King Lear.
“Most likely, the show will end like King Lear. The siblings will tear apart the kingdom fighting over the crown and destroy themselves in the process,” one person said on Reddit.
If this is where the show is headed, will there be an actual death of one or all of the siblings? Or will it just be a metaphorical one?
For all we know, the child who was promised $1 million in the first episode, only for Roman to rip up the cheque in front of him, could come out victorious.
Jeryd Mencken and the GoJo deal
So much is up in the air regarding the fascist Roman (enthusiastically) and Kendall (reluctantly) deemed as the next president of the US.
The brothers think calling the election for Jeryd Mencken will ensure they remain in control of Waystar Royco, because as president, Mencken would block the deal.
However, we don’t know how the issue of burnt ballots will be dealt with – will there be a revote?
Siobhan has facilitated somewhat of an alliance between Mencken and Lukas Matsson, so long as an American CEO is installed, should the deal go through, in hopes she will be named the CEO.
However, Mencken is as slippery as Matsson. Mencken might block the deal, if it goes through Matsson might choose someone other than Shiv to run the company.
Also, what would a GoJo-Waystar future even look like? In the trailer Matsson promised “it’s going to get nasty”.
There’s also a chance that someone else swoops in, picks up the pieces of a splintered Waystar and buys the company out from under the siblings.

Will old secrets come out?
Kendall literally killed someone, Roman was sending Gerri explicit pictures and Shiv convinced a sexual assault survivor to not give testimony against the family firm.
For all we know, Greg might still have those documents he was meant to shred and Tom is complicit in that too.
Nearly everyone on this show has done something terrible or at least questionable at one point, and if they haven’t they have probably helped clean up someone else’s mess.
Not only does Shiv know her brother’s secrets, but she also knows some of Matsson’s. Perhaps if things don’t go her way, she could blow the deal.
Or maybe Ebba, GoJo’s head of communications, will do that.
With so much at stake, plenty could come out and be used against someone.
Will everyone hate each other by the end?
It’s hard to say if there is any real love on this show, but will we see relationships fall apart for good?
Tom and Shiv are on the rocks, but would they ever get divorced now that they have a child on the way?
Someone noted on Reddit that in every season finale of Succession, there is a lot of emphasis on Shiv and Tom’s relationship. From the wedding in season one to his betrayal at the end of season three.
Maybe, their relationship is the key to the ending.
Kendall in a rage declared he wanted full custody of the children he low-key abandoned, so it will be interesting to see what comes of that and with his ex-wife, Rava, who holds serious concerns about their children’s safety.
Will Connor and Willa stay together? She seemed pretty firm by his side throughout his failed presidential run. Ambassadorship or not, perhaps the two jet off the Europe in the end to escape the chaos that is the Roy family.
Gerri and Roman’s relationship soured – she doesn’t want back in after securing a nice severance package, but maybe, the two could reconcile.
