West Ham United will have to wait another 15 days to have a chance of boosting their chances of Premier League survival when they host bottom club Southampton.
The Hammers played their final match before March’s international break on Thursday night, beating Cypriot side AEK Larnaca 4-0 (6-0 on aggregate) to set up a Europa Conference League quarter-final clash with Belgian side Gent.
While things in Europe are looking rosy, in the Premier League, they sit 17th and only clear of the bottom three via goal difference.

Next up in the Premier League for West Ham is a home match against bottom side Southampton on April 2, although many of the sides battling the Hammers for survival are all in action at least once before David Moyes’ side’s next league game.
Of sides currently in the bottom nine, with just five points separating 12th from 20th at present, West Ham have, on paper, the joint-second hardest run in their next four games.
Crystal Palace, who sacked manager Patrick Vieira on Friday morning, have, on paper, the easiest set of the fixtures.
