After months of transfer business, Manchester City are finally back in Premier League action and will begin their title defence against West Ham United.
Ilkay Gundogan's heroic brace against Aston Villa on the final day snatched back-to-back titles for Pep Guardiola's side for the second time. It was also City's fourth triumph in five seasons - signalling a period of dominance.
Since that day, the Blues have completely replenished the squad with some exciting talent. Erling Haaland's transfer from Borussia Dortmund is perhaps the biggest transfer in Premier League history, but the arrival of Julian Alvarez is also drumming up the same levels of excitement.

To facilitate the incomings, Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko have all moved on. City are still in the market for a specialist left-back after missing out on Marc Cucurella.

Guardiola's only notable absentee is Aymeric Laporte, who was forced to have post-season knee surgery and will be out of action until at least September.
Haaland, Kalvin Phillips and Alvarez are all in line to make their Premier League debuts for the club, with the former looking to kick-start his City career with a goal. John Stones, Phil Foden and Gundogan did not travel to the US for pre-season training but are all available for selection.
