How to watch Vera episodes if you’re abroad or on holiday

Watching Vera every week is a TV highlight for many fans. But what if you’re going away and still need your fix, or you’re based overseas?

Thankfully, Vera’s audience stretches internationally so there are many options for catching the programme abroad. Some countries broadcast the same UK channels we’re familiar with, but on a delay, whilst other viewers will have to take advantage of subscription services.

With season 12 already under way, and the 50th episode approaching, these episodes aren’t ones to miss. So, if you’re heading on holiday and don’t want to miss anything or you’re abroad, here’s everywhere we know you can watch outside of the UK.

BritBox

The best way to feast your eyes on the latest episodes if you’re overseas is on BritBox. The app boasts that it is home to the biggest box of British boxsets from ITV and BBC.

For those overseas, BritBox is available in the United States, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. Vera is one of its hit series, with many international viewers tuning in.

If you’re a British subscriber away on holiday, then logging onto the service when you’re abroad will gain you access to the international library, as long as you’re in one of the countries above where BritBox is available. This means while some of your favourite shows will be missing, you’ll still be able to get your cosy crime fix.

Amazon

If you prefer to keep everything in one place, Amazon Prime Video offers BritBox as an additional channel on top of your monthly subscription cost. Vera episodes are also available to buy directly from Amazon, though usually, these aren’t available until after the whole series has been broadcast.

Amazon is also your best bet for finding physical copies of the DVDs though the availability of these comes and goes and they can be quite expensive.
