While not the end of the golf season, the Open Championship is the fourth and final major of the 2024 season, which means all of the top players are going to be on hand in the hopes of etching their names into the history books. That includes defending champion Brian Harman, as well as big names like Rory McIlroy (looking to put his devastating US Open behind him and win his first major since 2014), 2024's previous major winners Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele and Bryson DeChambeau, rising stars Ludvig Aberg and Tom Kim, and fan-favorites like Shane Lowry, Jordan Spieth and Tiger Woods.

How to watch the Open Championship 2024 in the US
Golf fans in the US will need an early morning wake-up call to watch all action on the course at the Open Championship, but they'll have multiple options to tune in as NBCUniversal channels and platforms handle the coverage this year, specifically, NBC, Peacock and USA Network.
USA Network will have first and second-round TV coverage on Thursday, July 18, and Friday, July 19, while NBC is handling third and final-round coverage on the weekend. In order to watch the coverage on USA Network and NBC, you either need a traditional pay-TV system or a live TV streaming service that carries the channels; in the case of the latter that includes Fubo, Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV and YouTube TV.
You can also watch all of NBC's coverage of the tournament, as well as some special content, on Peacock, the NBCU streaming service. A Peacock subscription will get you access to nearly 200 hours of coverage, including the main broadcast feed, daily featured groups and featured holes.

While the Golf Channel will not be showing any live coverage of the Open Championship, it is still going to have its live studio show, Golf Central Live from the Open Championship, which you can watch on the cable channel or stream on Peacock.
Another option to watch Open Championship coverage is R&A TV. The R&A is the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, which helps run the Open Championship. R&A TV is its own free streaming service and membership portal. While you must be a member to watch Open Championship streams, it is free to join. As far as what coverage they'll have of the Open Championship 2024, a look at their upcoming schedule includes live streams of the course's par 3s, featured group streams and live range streams and audio streams to The Open Radio.
How to watch the Open Championship in the UK

How to watch the Open Championship from anywhere
If you're going to be away from your normal TV setup but still want to watch the Open Championship, you might run into some problems. Thankfully, you can solve this exact issue with a Virtual Private Network (VPN).
A VPN lets you change your IP address to that of the area of what you want to watch, meaning you can tune in to your favorite sports, shows or other content even if you're not there. Our favorite is NordVPN, which is the No. 1-rated VPN in the world right now according to our sister site, TechRadar.
