How to watch the Beijing Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony free in the UK

The Beijing Winter Olympics technically started on Wednesday, February 2, with some matches in the curling competition taking place. Some other sports have also started already, including ice hockey and ski jumping.

However, the Winter Olympics officially kicks off today, Friday, February 4 with the much-anticipated Opening ceremony.

Olympics fans may remember Beijing's stunning opening ceremony in 2008. The Oscar-nominated Zhang Yimou will be directing China's latest chance to show itself off to the world.

The iconic Bird's Nest Stadium which hosted the Summer Olympic Games opening and closing ceremonies in 2008 will do so again in 2022.

Here's how to watch the opening ceremony live for free.
