How to watch One Piece in order (TV shows and movies)

Monkey D. Luffy looking confused on an island in One Piece Egghead Island.

With only a month to go until One Piece returns, there's never been a better time to tune into the hit anime series. After all, Luffy has a massive spotlight on him and a ton of new fans thanks to the recent (and fantastic) release of the second season of Netflix's live-action adaptation, as well as confirmation that One Piece season 3 is on the way as well. However, let's be honest, navigating the One Piece anime is as tricky as sailing the Grand Line. Given that the show has been on TV since 1999 and consists of over 1,100 episodes (and counting), working out how to watch One Piece in order can be a headache for sure. I mean, a thousand episodes is one thing, but there are also 15 feature-length films and a bunch of TV specials. That may sound intimidating, but before you decide to click off this page, trust us, One Piece is one of the best anime of all time, and this guide is here to make your viewing life a whole lot easier. Below, we've broken down each One Piece saga in chronological order, listing all their arcs with episode numbers as well as where each One Piece movie falls in the timeline. If you don't have time to be a One Piece completionist, our guide on One Piece filler episodes should save some valuable hours. If you need other anime guides, we also break down how to watch Bleach in order and Dragon Ball in order. But for now, let's dive into the high seas.
