Monday Night Football week 15 preview

It's twice the fun on Monday Night Football this week, as there are two games closing out the NFL's week 15 action.

First is the NFC North showdown between the Bears and the Vikings in Minnesota. These two teams went to overtime in their previous matchup, with the Vikings emerging victorious. Minnesota hopes to see a similar result as a win would keep tie them with the Detroit Lions for the best record in the NFC North (though Detroit currently holds the tiebreaker); can they continue to be one of the sneakily best teams in the NFL and create an exciting finish for the division? Meanwhile, the Bears will hope to play a bit of a spoiler, finishing off what they couldn't a few weeks. ago. The Bears are under new leadership (having fired head coach Matt Eberflus a few weeks back). They are still looking to end a seven-game losing streak, but they (and rookie quarterback Caleb Williams) have shown signs that they're a bit closer then they're record may indicate.

As for matchup number two, it's a team fighting for its playoff life in the Atlanta Falcons against a team whose fanbase may or may not be OK with a loss as it would increase their chances for the top overall draft pick in the offseason in the draft in the Las Vegas Raiders. The Falcons need a win badly to keep their playoff hopes alive, and quarterback Kirk Cousins must have a bounce back game to stop the calls for rookie Michael Penix Jr. from replacing him. As for the Raiders, almost nothing has gone right this season, as they could be forced to start their third-string quarterback (Aidan O'Connell is questionable), while their best defensive player Maxx Crosby has been ruled out and is likely to undergo season-ending surgery. The Raiders are in the midst of a nine-game losing streak.
