Manchester United take on Burnley at Old Trafford on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup round of 16, as Erik ten Hag prepares his side for their first competitive fixture since the World Cup break.
It has been more than a month since Alejandro Garnacho's injury-time winner hit the back of the net against Fulham at Craven Cottage. United headed into the enforced winter break on a high, but a lot has changed since Ten Hag's squad hit pause on club football.
Cristiano Ronaldo's departure came swiftly after his explosive interview with Piers Morgan aired, as compatriots Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot board separate flights home to the 37-year-old - as they return to Manchester for the remainder of the season. United will also welcome back Lisandro Martinez as a World Cup winner following Argentina's breathtaking victory against France on Sunday.

Ten Hag will be reminding his squad that they need to hit the ground running from the start as the Dutchman prepares his side for the clash against Championship leaders Burnley. Now led by former Manchester City defender Vincent Kompany, the Clarets have only lost two matches in the league this season.
Here's all you need to know ahead of Wednesday night's game.
