Tens of thousands of runners will take to the city's streets for the Manchester Marathon today.
As one of Europe's largest running events, many people will be looking for a way to watch the annual event. Fortunately, there are plenty of ways to watch the marathon if you are unable to attend in person.
With a rich history dating back as far as 1908, the annual event has become a destination for keen runners from all over the country who are looking to nail a personal best. Here's everything you need to know about how to watch the 2023 Manchester Marathon.

The event is being streamed live on Manchester Marathon's YouTube channel but can be watched in several ways.
Regardless of whether you want to watch it on your computer, smartphone, tablet or TV, the Manchester Marathon will be available to watch throughout the whole of the weekend.
How to watch the marathon
Computer
Head to ManchesterMarathon.co.uk and you’ll be able to stream the event directly from there. Additionally you’ll be able to follow live coverage, including text, video and social updates.
Mobile/Tablet
It’s simple to watch directly through the YouTube app, just follow the organiser's account, or alternatively you can watch through your browser at www.ManchesterMarathon.co.uk
It's ideal for catching the action on the move, or between spectator locations on the day.
Smart TV
Prefer to have your feet up on the sofa while watching all the physical exertion? If your TV features the YouTube app, you can watch in high quality directly through it.
Even if your TV does not feature this, you can get the YouTube app on other devices such as games consoles and Amazon Fire sticks.
If you really want to show off you can switch the coverage from your mobile to the TV, simply by selecting the ‘connect to a device’ icon at the top of the screen
At the Event
Want to be in the mix of the atmosphere? Then head to the Hangout at Lancashire County Cricket Club, where among live performances, and food options, there is a giant screen showing all the action.
Live updates begin at 8am, with the live broadcast starting at 8:30.
