Manchester City are aiming to reach the FA Cup final for the first time in five seasons at Wembley Stadium this weekend at the expense of Sheffield United.
Pep Guardiola's side have fallen at the semi-final stage in the last three campaigns - being beaten by Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool - and face Championship opposition this time. City won each of their four matches with the Blades during their two-season stay in the Premier League but were defeated when the two teams last met in this competition back in January 2008.
Their opponents from the red and white half of the Steel City have been enjoying a successful season in the second tier. Sitting in second place, they are just one win away from confirming promotion back to the top flight alongside Vincent Kompany's Burnley, whom Guardiola's side put out in the quarter-finals. Early team news
Guardiola has confirmed that Nathan Ake is out of the trip to Wembley with the thigh injury sustained against Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-final second leg. Phil Foden returned as an unused substitute in Germany and should again be in the squad for the weekend.
