Ireland this afternoon kick off what they hope will be a successful Rugby World Cup 2023 with an opening game against Romania.
The home nation head to France with plenty of reasons to feel a first Webb Ellis trophy is within their reach, having followed up a series win in New Zealand last year with the Six Nations six months ago.
Romania are unlikely to cause them too many problems in their Pool B opener, but have a point to prove after being disqualified from the tournament four years ago for fielding an ineligible player.
