For anybody not old enough to remember the hugely popular original series from the 90s, "Gladiators" is a big, brash — and not a little camp — gameshow in which members of the public try to defeat each other and the mighty Gladiators in a series of challenges to test their skill, dexterity and power.
We've seen 16 new Gladiators standing in the way of the the contenders' glory this series; from Olympic athletes like Fire (Montell Douglas) and Phantom (Toby Olubi), to intimidating body builders such as Diamond (Livi Sheldon) and Legend (Matt Morsia). Even Mark Clattenburg, the main referee, has athletic clout, having refereed in F.A. Cup and Champions League soccer matches.
We've now reached the Grand Final, with contenders Finlay Anderson, Wesley Male, Bronte Jones and Marie-Louise Nicholson battling it out to be crowned the men's and women's 2024 "Gladiators" champions. Both Mary-Louise and Finlay delivered epic comebacks in the Eliminator to earn their place, and it's not the first time the army man has come up against Wesley, with the wrestler managing to best Finlay by seconds in the quarter finals.
The finalists know what to expect from the events, from classics Hang Tough, The Wall, Powerball and Duel to new games; Collision, The Edge and The Ring, so it's sure to be a hard fought battle to be crowned champion.
Bradley Walsh hosts the Grand Final alongside son Barney as we once again head to the Utilita Arena in Sheffield, U.K. where a male and female champion will be crowned.

"Gladiators" made its much-anticipated return in January, with the Grand Final going out at 5:50 p.m. GMT on BBC One on Saturday, March 30.
The final will also be available to stream live and on demand on the BBC iPlayer streaming service. The BBC iPlayer is totally FREE to view — provided you have a TV licence of course.

Finlay
"Army Officer Finlay was put through his paces in the heats by coming against Giant in Duel and Apollo in The Ring before claiming victory in The Eliminator. The Quarter Finals saw him injure himself on The Edge so he chose to forfeit the Gauntlet meaning he went into The Eliminator 11 seconds behind his opponent Wesley. However all was not lost as Finlay earned his place in the Semi Finals as the fastest runner up and managed to win which meant a rematch against Wesley in the Gladiators Final."

"Wrestler Wesley joined the competition in the Quarter Finals where he stunned the Gladiators in Gauntlet and just beat fellow finalist Finlay in The Eliminator to earn his place in the Semi Finals. There he flew past Legend on The Edge & dug deep to win The Eliminator setting up a rematch with Finlay in the Final."
Bronte
"23 year old firefighter Bronte from Sheffield has only failed to pick up points once throughout her run on the series. In the heats she managed to withstand some powerful hits from Diamond in Duel and in the Quarter Finals came up against the mighty Fury in The Ring. Bronte came from behind in The Eliminator to secure her spot in the last four. In the Semi Final she powered through Gauntlet and earned her place in the Final."
Mary-Louise
"Dublin born personal trainer Marie-Louise scored maximum points 5 times over the series. In the heats she did struggle on the dreaded travelator but managed to power through to the Quarter Finals where she was able to escape Sabre’s claws and climb to the top of The Wall. Marie-Louise won her place in the Semis where she was dealt some powerful blows from an explosive Dynamite on Duel and sent over The Edge by Diamond. However she overcame a 9 second deficient on The Eliminator to take victory and become a finalist."
