With all due respect, Gonzalo Quesada's men were never likely to trouble Ireland in Dublin last time out, but they showed real signs of quality in their three-point defeat to England on the opening weekend.
If the likes of Juan Ignacio Brex, Tommaso Menoncello and the returning Federico Mori can combine effectively, they could prove a real handful for the French defence. Martin Page-Relo is preferred to Stephen Varney at scrum-half today, with Giacomo Nicotera and Giosue Zilocchi coming in to refresh Italy's friont row.
