How to watch Falkirk vs Hibs: TV channel, kick-off time, live stream details and team news

Lee Johnson will be hoping his troops can build on Saturday's thumping of Clyde with another big performance in the Premier Sports Cup.

Christian Doidge was the hat-trick hero at Easter Road as the Hibees ran out 5-0 winners in their group stage opener. They raced into the five-goal advantage before the break to kick-off the Johnson competitive era in emphatic fashion. But the games come thick and fast in this tournament and the capital club are back in action as they face Scottish League One opposition once again in the shape of Falkirk.

John McGlynn is now in charge at the Bairns - who will be going all out for promotion to the Scottish Championship this season - and he started he reign with a 0-0 draw against Morton. His men picked up a bonus point with a shootout win over the Ton to set things up nicely at the Falkirk Stadium for this matchday two encounter. Bonnyrigg Rose and Greenock Morton have still to come for the Hibees but all focus will be this one with big points up for grabs. The group winners and three best-placed runners-up reach the last 16 of the competition and join Celtic, Rangers, Hearts, Dundee United and Motherwell in the last 16.

Team news

Aiden McGeady and Joe Newell could come in from the start for Hibs in this one.

Lee Johnson said: “That was the first 90 minutes for a fair few. There were a few boys cramping up, a lot of stiff legs, but we have to keep driving that tempo.

“Naturally, the likes of Aiden McGeady and Joe Newell will probably come into that one from the start, and there’s two of three others that’ll probably start as well.

“We have to get that balance, but, of course, it’s another step up in terms of the opposition. We have to win the game.”

Aiden McGeady, David Marshall, Lewis Miller, Nohan Kenneh, Kyle McClelland and Dylan Tait all made their Hibernian FC debuts at the weekend.
