The Women’s Super League returns to Goodison Park tonight as Everton Women host Liverpool Women.
The latest instalment of the Merseyside derby sees the two teams looking to claim a vital three points for their respective seasons. The Blues are currently in sixth place in the WSL table and without a win in their last three fixtures, while the Reds are eighth and beat Tottenham Hotspur last time out.
Everton claimed a 3-0 win over Liverpool in the reverse fixture at Anfield in September thanks to goals from Megan Finnigan, Jess Park and Hanna Bennison. The two teams are separated by six points going into tonight’s WSL contest.
