Four pots of nine teams will be created, based on the latest Uefa coefficient ranking of all 36 clubs who have qualified.
Each team will then be manually drawn using physical balls during the ceremony. As a team is picked out, an automated software program will then randomly draw two opponents out from each pot, with clubs facing eight games in total - four at home and four away.
The top eight finishers will all head through to the last 16, with teams that place ninth to 24th going into a two-legged knockout play-off round in the New Year. For everyone else, it will be the end of the road in Europe for this season. Here’s everything you need to know about where to watch today’s draw.
