After England won the first Test by an innings and 103 runs in what can only be described as a decimation, Pakistan is staring down the barrell of another one-sided embarrasing defeat in the second England vs Pakistan Test at Lord's, London. The hosts are batting in their second innings, leading by 357 runs at the end of day three with 3 wickets still in hand.

Putting England in to bat on day one, pacer Mohammad Abbas rattled the top order to reduce the hosts to 36-3, but thereafter England strung together partnerships. Jordan Cox and Jamie Smith scored half-centuries, but it was the 47-run stand for the 10th wicket between Gus Atkinson and Josh Tongue on the morning of day two that really broke the visitors. England ultimately got 290, with Abbas picking up four wickets and Mohammad Ali three.

That total proved to be too challenging for Pakistan. England's in-form bowling line-up made full use of Lord's overcast skies and treacherous slope to knock out the visitors for just 110. Ollie Robinson was the star once again, picking up four wickets, while Jofra Archer picked three and Josh Tongue two. Imam-ul-Haq didn't bat due to a calf injury.

Day three had rain all around, and so we only got 25 overs. England are 177-7 with Dan Lawrence batting on 50. Abbas has picked up three again, while Mohammad Ali and Khurram Shahzad have two each. With the weather looking much better for the remaining two days and Robinson, Archer, and Atkinson still to come, England should have no problem batting a little longer, albeit quicker, to get to around 400-425 runs.

After manaing just 306 runs across the two innings in the first Test, Pakistan's batting is under the scanner again, with former English captain Michael Vaughan calling them the "easiest team to bowl to" and saying that "the England bowlers aren't being challenged at all."

This is all despite the home of cricket historically being a happy hunting ground for the visitors. They've won five Tests here, including the last two they played here.
