Eddie Jones and his England side suffered a disappointing defeat in their opening Autumn Nations Series fixture against Argentina last Sunday afternoon.
Hopes were high, with Marcus Smith, Owen Farrell and Manu Tuilagi all lining up as part of a midfield trio which was expected to push the Red Rose to victory. However, it did not pan out that way, with England's high penalty count costing them dear as they slipped to a narrow defeat.
They will have the chance to redeem themselves on Saturday, however, with Japan arriving to play England having lost their first Autmn Nations Series fixture 31-38 to New Zealand in Tokyo. They will face the formidable Bristol duo of Ellis Genge and Kyle Sinckler, who were two of England's outstanding performers on Sunday against the Pumas.
England will be boosted by the return to the squad of hooker Jamie George to the 36-man training squad this week, but will suffer from the absence of Courtney Lawes for the duration of the series, with the England captain likely ruled out until the Six Nations.
