Watch the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix live to find out whether McLaren’s Lando Norris can make it two wins in a row. The Papaya team won their first race of 2026 in Hungary, and with Norris on pole, they look well positioned to defend their P1 finish in Zandvoort from last year, although that was Oscar Piastri, who’ll be starting P4, behind the two Mercedes.
Although Kimi Antonelli now leads the Drivers’ Championship, 50 points clear of Lewis Hamilton in second place, there are more than 300 points still up for grabs across the 12 rounds to come, meaning the season is far from over. The 19-year-old is having a decent weekend so far, finishing P4 in the sprint and starting the Grand Prix on the second row.
His teammate George Russell claimed a solid sprint win and will be fancying his chances of cutting the difference in points to Antonelli. Ferrari, meanwhile, have seemingly been left behind after McLaren's upgrades. Hamilton starts at P5 while Charles Leclerc, who finished second in the sprint, will start at P6.
Zandvoort has been the first race back after the summer break since 2023, but 2026 will be its final appearance on the calendar. Max Verstappen would've wanted to bid farewell to his home race in style, but a podium finish could be difficult here given his P7 starting position and with all six Mercedes, Ferraris, and McLarens ahead of him.
It's also the last time this season that we get a standalone race. With the Bahrain Grand Prix now set to take place in Malaysia in early October, we have a double-header next, followed by three triple-headers to finish the season.
Arguably the biggest news heading into the weekend was all coming from Red Bull. Verstappen has signed a new deal through to 2030 amid rumours that he could leave the team, while Isack Hadjar is sitting out after picking up a wrist injury during the summer break. Racing Bulls’ Liam Lawson (P8) has taken his seat, while Yuki Tsunoda (P12) has filled the New Zealander’s void.
