Manchester City hope to end a frustrating week on a high note this weekend when facing Bournemouth on the south coast.
Pep Guardiola's side have seen consecutive 1-0 leads eventually end up as 1-1 draws, first in the Premier League against Nottingham Forest and then again in midweek against RB Leipzig in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie. City are again on their travels, for the third straight match, to a newly-promoted team hoping to return to winning ways ahead of the FA Cup resuming.
Bournemouth were beaten 4-0 in the reverse fixture back in August when Ilkay Gundogan, Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden were all on the scoresheet. City have never lost to the Cherries and only drawn two of their 18 meetings over the years.
