Bellator is back this week, and the bantamweight title is on the line in a rematch in one of the world’s most iconic cities.

Bellator Champions Series: Paris takes place Friday at Accor Arena in Paris. The main card streams on the Max platform (formerly HBO Max) at 3 p.m. ET.
The prelims stream on Max at noon ET.
Venue info
Accor Arena is one of Paris’ longest operating indoor venues. It opened in 1984 and later this year will host the basketball finals and some gymnastics events during the 2024 Summer Olympics. The arena has played host to Bellator and the UFC in the past, and is a regular concert tour stop for many recording artists.
Bantamweight title fight
It’s been less than two years since Patchy Mix (19-1) and Magomed Magomedov (20-3) first met in the Bellator bantamweight grand prix semifinals. At Bellator 289 in December 2022, Mix asserted himself as one of the world’s best 135-pounders when he tapped Magomedov with a guillotine choke. Mix moved on to the tournament final and knocked out Raufeon Stots to win the interim belt. He unified it with a nearly flawless performance and submission of champ Sergio Pettis this past November.
Magomedov never had been finished before Mix submitted him. His only two losses prior to that were to Stots by decision and former UFC bantamweight champ Petr Yan. The former bantamweight champ in Russia’s ACB promotion is 4-2 under the Bellator banner with three submissions, including one against the highly touted Danny Sabatello in July 2023 in Japan.

Cedric Doumbe (5-1) will be looking for redemption in front of his home fans when he meets Jaleel Willis (16-5). Born in Cameroon, Doumbe has lived in France since he was a child. But his perfect MMA career, on the heels of a 75-win kickboxing career, with five knockouts in his first five fights went awry in March in his second PFL fight when he took a TKO against Baissangour Chamsoudinov because of a toe injury.

Key prelim
Aspen Ladd (11-5) has had plenty of ups and downs the past five years, and the ups and downs have continued after she came to the PFL after her run in the UFC. She’s 2-2 in teh promotion, but now will try things out under the Bellator banner when she meets Katerina Shakalova (8-1). After an 8-0 start, Ladd is 3-5 – but three of those losses came to former UFC champion Germaine de Randamie, current champ Raquel Pennington and two-time PFL champ Kayla Harrison.
