While new characters are generally the stars of the show, Disney Dreamlight Valley updates also sometimes add in adorable and iconic new animal friends to go with them. Pocahontas didn't arrive in the valley alone, as her beloved raccoon friend Meeko can be unlocked, too.
Since Meeko is a secret Companion, it's likely you have no idea how to go about meeting him and reuniting him with Pocahontas. He's an adorable little guy you'll want to meet as soon as possible, so here's how to unlock Meeko in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to get Pocahontas's Raccoon Meeko in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Meeko is a secret reward granted upon completing Pocahontas's level 10 friendship quest, which is called A Raccoon's Return. When you look at all of Pocahontas's friendship rewards, you won't see him listed since he's a secret Companion, similar to Pluto.
Luckily, you don't have to solve a complex questline involving mysterious Mementos to get him. Instead, all you need to do is max out your friendship with Pocahontas and fully finish her final mission. Here's a breakdown of everything you need to get done to get him.
- Unlock Pocahontas. You cannot recruit her loyal Companion without her already being in the valley, as he's only unlockable through one of her friendship quests.
- Complete Pocahontas's level two friendship quest, The Three Sisters Garden. In this mission, you help Pocahontas set up a traditional Three Sisters Garden and enjoy a cozy picnic alongside Wall-E.
- Complete Pocahontas's level four friendship quest, Working Together. This quest tasks you with helping Pocahontas do some prep work for the Celestial Celebration. Stitch and Cogsworth get into a heated argument during it, so most of the mission revolves around mending things between them.
- Complete Pocahontas's level seven friendship quest, A Little Algae Problem. Pocahontas wants to gather and use some Glowing Algae for her Celestial Celebration, so you're tasked with seeing if other villagers are willing to help out and setting out to gather this material.
- Complete Pocahontas's level 10 friendship quest, A Raccoon’s Return. This is the mission that actually unlocks Meeko. The Celestial Celebration is finally unfolding, but during it, you'll come across some paw prints that Pocahontas recognizes, thus leading you to hunt down the elusive Meeko.
Meeko is unlocked near the end of the quest when you go fishing at the dock in the Dazzle Beach biome with Pocahontas. Shortly after this, the A Racoon's Return quest is finished, and Meeko is unlocked as a Companion you can equip or assign to follow Pocahontas around. Since he's a character from a Disney film, he's listed under the Notable Companions category under the Wardrobe menu.
Meeko ability in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Meeko is a foraging Companion, which means he'll pick up and find extra of any items you can forage for. This includes items like Lemons, Coffee Beans, Basil, Raspberries, Garlic, Coconuts, Ginger, and Oregano. He can also hunt for certain special event items that spawn around the valley, like Wild Spring Eggs during the Eggstravaganza event.
