Health officials warned that the start of the autumn Covid wave had begun earlier this week, with early signs of rising cases. The UK Health Security Agency has also warned of a 'twindemic' in the coming months, with flu expected to rife as well.
This is due to people have now largely returned to their normal life following the scrapping of Covid restrictions, meaning they are mixing more than they have in the past couple of years. Immunity to flu is also lower than usual, due to people having had restrictions on mixing with others over the past two winters.
However, with many people now reporting mild cases of Covid, with symptoms similar to those of a cold, how can you tell the difference between the two?
