How to stop seagulls from stealing your chips and what to do when you're under attack

Anyone who lives near a seaside or visits the beach a lot will know that seagulls can come for your food.

Is there anything we can do to stop them from stealing our chips? Well, according to The Conversation, there is. Firstly, the publication reports that the herring gull (seagull) and the six other gull species that breed in the UK are declining in number and are of conservation concern.

Herring gulls are in fact on the UK red list, the highest level of concern. Food poisoning at landfill sites has had an effect in recent years and been a major contributory factor in their decline.
