Queen Elizabeth II's coffin will be flying over Yorkshire today as it heads to London from Edinburgh.
The coffin will leave St Giles cathedral in the Scottish capital at 5pm before boarding an RAF transport plane, accompanied by the Princess Royal, Anne. Once the plane lands, the coffin will be transported to Buckingham Palace in a hearse.
Planes from Edinburgh to London fly directly over Yorkshire, although it depends which flightpath the plane is on as to where exactly it will travel in the county. According to information from AirportDistanceCalculator, if the plane travels as the crow files, it will pass directly over Otley, Horsforth, Leeds Bradford Airport and many parts of West Leeds.

According to NorthamptonshireLive, the plane carrying the Queen's coffin is expected to leave the Scottish capital at 6pm for a 50 minute flight over Southern Scotland and Northern England to London. Therefore, we can expect the flight to travel over Leeds early into the flight, between 6pm-6:30pm.
