While Rainbow Six Extraction's game modes allow you to take on missions on your own, the recommended experience is to get your friends involved to help you.
Fortunately, the game has cross-play compatibility so regardless of which console your friends are playing on, they will still be able to join you as you fight alien hordes.
Playing with friends also means that you'll be able to communicate and work together more efficiently, making it more likely that your missions will be successful.

But, there are some steps you will need to take before you can start playing with your friends on Rainbow Six Extraction.
That's why we've set up this easy guide so you can start playing with your friends as soon and smoothly as possible.
How to add your friends to your account
Rainbow Six Extraction allows you to invite your friends to play with you conveniently via the friend system.
The main way this is done in the game is through your Ubisoft account which is used to log into the game itself.
If you don't use a Ubisoft Connect account, you will need to create one and then link it to your Rainbow Six Extraction account.
This can be done via the Ubisoft website.
To add your friend's Ubisoft account on Rainbow Six Extraction, simply go to the social menu in the game's menu, select add friend and enter your friend's Ubisoft account name.
Once this is done, your friend should receive an invitation to be your friend, once they've accepted you can invite them to your games.
How to enable crossplay
If your friend is playing Rainbow Six Extraction on a console different to yours, don't worry you can still play with them.
Before you send them an invite to join your game, you need to make sure that your game has crossplay enabled.
Usually, the game will have crossplay automatically enabled, but there may be some situations where you may have accidentally turned it off.
To enable crossplay, head to the settings menu in your game and simply scroll down to where it says 'crossplay' and click on it.
