Trump Media & Technology Group (DJT), a conglomerate synonymous with the Trump brand, has never been the kind that quietly goes about its business. With DJT stock, the headlines can be just as important as the numbers—and now, there is a major new headline for investors to digest.
On Sept. 30, 2026, Trump Media & Technology Group and TAE Technologies filed a Form S-4 registration statement with the SEC, moving forward with their proposed all-stock merger first announced in December 2025. The deal would create a rather unusual combination, bringing TMTG’s media and financial-services businesses together with TAE’s work in fusion energy, power solutions, and life sciences. The SEC, however, has not yet declared the registration statement effective, so the merger still has steps to clear before closing.
