Education is the bedrock of a just and diverse society, but only if it is equitable and inclusive. To foster an inclusive educational environment, leaders and teachers have to understand and value diversity in all its forms, including diversity of culture, language, socio-economic background, gender, ability, and others.
Here, we will lay out eight steps for ensuring that an educational environment is inclusive, in every sense of the word.
