And the best part is you need just five ingredients - all of which you've probably already got in your cupboards.

Whether you've got a sweet tooth and opt for Nutella or the classic lemon and sugar, or you're a savoury person that likes to fill a crepe with ham and gooey cheese, this recipe will see you through Pancake Day, and beyond if you're lucky enough to have batter left over.
It comes from Anthony Barnes, the executive chef at Cardiff's Marriott Hotel, who has provided his top tips to the Mirror.
So get your frying pan and your favourite toppings ready and follow his step-by-step guide to perfect the pancake batter below.
How to make the perfect pancake batter
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 100g plain flour
- 300ml milk
- 1 tsp vegetable oil
- Pinch of salt
Method
- Lightly whisk the two eggs
- Sieve the flour into a bowl and make a well in the middle
- Add the salt and oil to the well
- Pour the whisked eggs into the flour
- Add half of the milk
- Mix well then add the rest of the milk
- Warm your pan up on the hob
- Add a little oil and tip away any excess
- Pour a spoonful of the batter mixture into the pan and fry for a few seconds
- Flip it and fry for a few seconds on the other side
And there you have it.
Add the toppings of your choice and you're ready to tuck in.
