The World Darts Championship is back! The most prestigious tournament in the sport returns to Alexandra Palace for a competition to determine who will be crowned champion of the world.
There will be a new champion this year after England’s Michael Smith, who currently holds the title having beaten Michael van Gerwen in the final of last year’s tournament, crashed out to Chris Dobey at the last-16 stage this time around.
Scott Williams defeated Van Gerwen in the quarter-finals on Monday while the likes of Luke Humphries and Rob Cross will be hoping to reach the final. Teen prodigy Luke Littler is another man lighting up the Ally Pally stage now the action has resumed after Christmas.
