How to get tickets for Kings of Leon, Primal Scream and 17 other Manchester gigs coming up

June was a massive month for gigs in Manchester, playing host to city son Liam Gallagher, Harry Styles and Ed Sheeran, as well as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billie Eilish, The Killers and Alisha Keys. And July is shaping up to be a whopper of a month for live music, too.

Sounds of the City has kicked off at Castlefield Bowl, starting with Lewis Capaldi on Tuesday, June 28, followed by Foals, with Libertines playing last night (July 1).

The festival continues for the next week, with James playing tonight, celebrating their Alton Towers Show. Pixies, Sam Fender, Rex Orange County and Primal Scream are also playing the open-air venue as part of the nearly two-week long event.

Hot off the back of her set at Glastonbury, Olivia Rodrigo is swapping Worthy Farm for the O2 Apollo, while Kings of Leon will be packing out the AO Arena. The US rockers found fame in 2001 after their debut landed right slap-bang in the middle of the great guitar rush of the early 00s.

Kula Shaker, The Who’s Roger Daltry and Joy Division and New Order bassist Peter Hook will also be performing this month, as well as The Prodigy, Haim and Rick Ross.

There are still some tickets left for a number of the shows, with prices starting from £20.10 for JP Saxe, who supported Lewis Capaldi at Castlefield Bowl, up to £52.35 for Kings of Leon. Here’s where to pick up last minute tickets for all the concerts this July.
