Resident Evil newbie, Grace Ashcroft, is making her Fortnite debut, and there is a way to get her outfit for free. The anxious FBI agent is one of the two protagonists of Resident Evil Requiem and will soon join fan-favourites Leon Kennedy, Chris Redfield, Claire Redfield, and Jill Valentine in Epic’s battle royale.
To get Grace Ashcroft’s skin in Fortnite for free, you need to pre-purchase or purchase Resident Evil Requiem on the Epic Games Store. Fortunately, it’s not a pre-order bonus item, nor is it limited to any particular edition, which means you can get it with either the standard or deluxe edition.

When is the Grace Ashcroft skin coming to Fortnite?

If you purchase Resident Evil Requiem on the Epic Games Store, you will get the Grace Ashcroft skin in Fortnite on February 27, 2026, at 12am ET. This applies to both RE Requiem purchases made during the pre-order period and post-launch.
It’s worth noting that if you refund Resident Evil Requiem on the Epic Games Store, you will lose your Grace Ashcroft skin in Fortnite, so choose wisely.
If you only care about the outfit in Fortnite, there’s good news. The Grace Ashcroft skin will be available in Fortnite’s item shop from Feb. 28 to March 7, 2026. As of this writing, it’s unclear what the pricing would be or if there will be a Grace Ashcroft bundle.
However, Epic has confirmed that if you purchase Grace’s outfit in Fortnite and then buy Resident Evil Requiem on the Epic Store, you will gain 1,500 V-Bucks as a grant instead of the skin.
Furthermore, and this goes without saying, the Grace Ashcroft outfit can only be obtained for free by purchasing Resident Evil Requiem on the Epic Games Store.
Are other Resident Evil skins returning to Fortnite?

Sadly, there’s no confirmation on whether you’ll be able to buy other Resident Evil skins in Fortnite anytime soon. They were last seen in the item shop on April 24, 2023, almost three years ago!
There’s a particular demand for them in the Fortnite community, especially for a new Leon Kennedy skin in tandem with his gruff, leather-jacket donning, hatchet-wielding counterpart in Resident Evil Requiem.
