After a three-year break Glastonbury came back with a bang for 2022 with headliners Paul McCartney, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, Diana Ross and performing in front of 200,000 festival goers.
Despite the huge turnout at the famous festival there were a reported two million people who missed out on tickets when they went on sale back in 2019, before the festival was suspended due to the Covid outbreak. The 2022 festival takes place from Wednesday 22 to Sunday 26 June and the 2023 festival is likely to take place in June.
Every five years, Glastonbury Festival is put on hold for a ‘fallow year’ to prevent excessive damage to the site and allow local people to rest. The last one was 2018, but with two cancellations thanks to the pandemic there is not going to be one until at least 2027.
The festival is going to be back for 2023 and there are reports headliners have already been booked for next year's event, although they will be announced closer to the date.
