Scots shoppers who still use cash are being warned that some sales could be rejected if the wrong notes are used to pay.
From September, shops like Tesco, Asda, Aldi, M&S and Morrisons will no longer accept paper banknotes.
This is because old £20 and £50 notes will have been officially replaced with polymer notes, which are tougher to counterfeit.
