I really love a bit of colour and would say don’t be afraid to step outside of grey, navy and black. Look to lovely burgundy, biscuits, red wine or jewel tones — they can be neutral but fun. If I’m in need of a parachute outfit, I am a big fan of keeping to the same colour and mixing texture. This is a Reiss suit and matching silk shirt in peacock blue — I love it for the day with a pair of trainers, a pop colour beanie and my Tissa Fontaneda bag. If you’re splurging, get a great blazer. With the proportions, anything goes. I’m personally over the whole oversized thing, but that is still a big go-to. In the evenings, I’m a fan of jeans, a bright, buttery cashmere and a stacked heel. In the office I’ll wear my Air Force, then switch to the Aquazzuras and a chandelier earring. It can be that simple. If you can’t be bothered for anything, just put on a good coat. It will get you through the day.

I would recommend shopping vintage when it comes to autumn/winter outfits. You can find some amazing statement pieces there which you can mix in with your look and give it a bit of uniqueness. Today I’m wearing a second-hand tweed skirt which I found in an LA vintage store, a Comme des Garçons Play jumper, which I think is cute, and a shirt from Gap. I found this vintage motorcycle jacket on Depop for £70, which was amazing, and I’ve dressed it up with a Christian Louboutin shoe and patent sock. If you are investing in something, get one really great coat. I just found a lovely, vintage boxy Burberry. My top vintage haunts are Rellik on Golborne Road, Found and Vision near Portobello Market, and The 543 which is online. If I’m shopping on the high street, it’s Arket. Not too expensive, and they have some great pieces. My only real advice for dressing is just to wear what makes you happy, though.

The daytime-nighttime mix comes naturally to me — wearing a sequin skirt with a creamy, contrasting knit is something that I’ve always done, or a dressy evening shoe layered up with a chunky cashmere hiking sock. Wear something simple with crystal earrings for your 10am board meeting. My styling tip for 2023 is to play with texture: today, I’m wearing a shearling jacket from my favourite London brand 16Arlington, a sequin and pleated skirt and a beautiful cashmere twinset from Uniqlo. I’m also into uniform dressing. My formula is knitwear, heels and midi skirt, and I find quite a lot of freedom within that when I’m getting dressed in the morning. It’s a great foundation to then play with textures and acces - sories. We are told to invest in the staples, but I think it is really fun to invest in something that is a bit more of a statement — try the red tulle skirt!

When I dress, I’m thinking: how can I make a really comfortable outfit out of really nice clothes? My jumper is a nice cashmere, my trousers are Issey Miyake — my go-to every single day — and a statement jacket from Bottega Veneta. You have to think architecturally about the effect you want to achieve, which is smooth and clean. Try a jumper with a high-waisted trouser and cropped jacket to create a little bit of interest. Save up for a really classic, single-breasted grey postman coat: like Ethan Hawke in Gattaca. COS has a very good one.
