A strange method for treating sunburn first shared by a doctor 40 years ago is now being used by hundreds of thousands of people after a mum posted about it on Facebook. The method was picked up again in 2018 and is now being shared after the hottest day of the year has left people suffering.
Cindie Allen-Stewart was told about the treatment by her mother-in-law and after finding it worked she uploaded pictures to Facebook - and more than 220,000 shared it. Cindie started searching for a way to reduce the pain and redness of sunburn as her husband was sensitive to the common treatment aloe.
She said treatment will make an instant difference in 30 minutes, and repeated over two or three days should put an end to the burn, reports The Mirror.
