A New Type of Plant can be a tough task in ARC Raiders, though it does depend on how well you can spot things in the open.
You obtain the quest from Lance, who wants you to find a possibly toxic plant. This guide will help you complete the quest without issue.

ARC Raiders A New Type of Plant quest walkthrough
You can break A New Type of Plant quest into the following parts.
- Search for the new plant near the Baron Husk in the Old Battleground
- Deliver the Possibly Toxic Plant to Lance
The first task is to locate Baron Husk. You can find the debris of this massive ARC in the Old Battleground location of Dam Battlegrounds. You'll find the Old Battleground POI on the western part of the map, and I have marked its exact location. Once you're there, you should be able to spot the Baron Husk quite easily due to its enormous size.
The toxic plant spawns randomly on the map, but you should find it near Baron Husk. They are the same size as the Great Mullein, but have orange fruits or flowers blooming from the top. You'll need to collect just one to complete the quest.
You'll also have to bring the plant back safely to Speranza in your inventory, so it might be best to move it to your safe pocket. There's a nearby lift from this location, so extraction shouldn't be a problem. Speak with Lance when you're back in Speranza and hand him the plant to complete the quest.
