How to cancel Amazon Prime and get a refund

Amazon has announced that it will put up the cost of its Prime membership for most Irish customers from September. Read on to learn how to cancel your Amazon Prime subscription if you don't want to pay the price hike.

An Amazon Prime membership in Ireland through the UK-based marketplace currently costs roughly €9.45 (£7.99) a month, or €93 (£79) a year. This will be going up to €10.68 (£8.99), or €112 (£95) a year - depending on exchange rates. It is the first price increase for the service since 2014.

How much you'll pay depends on whether your account is registered through the German Amazon marketplace or is UK based. Read more on how you can find out which account you have here.
