England have a Women’s Euro 2022 semi-final to look forward to after a dramatic night in Brighton.
The Lionesses are through to the final four of this year’s tournament after they took another huge step towards Wembley. They had to do it the hard way against Spain though.
They looked to be heading for the exit door, with Spain ahead with just minutes remaining after Esther Gonzalez’s effort early in the second half.

England though managed to claw their way back into the game, with substitute Ella Toone in the right place at the right time to poke the ball home from Alessia Russo’s header. The Manchester United star’s goal sent the game into extra time, and built up the tension inside the Amex Stadium.
Georgia Stanway though was on hand to fire home a thunderbolt, and send the Lionesses into the semi-finals.
