Anthony Joshua will fight Oleksandr Usyk in a fight to take place in Saudi Arabia on August 20 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The fight will take place at the Jeddah Super Dome which can hold up to 40,000 fans in a unique venue located in the city which has become a hub for sporting events such as boxing and Formula 1.
The first bout took place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, a fight which saw 'AJ' lose his WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles to the Ukrainian via unanimous decision. However, he now has a new coach in the form of former Ring Magazine Trainer of the Year Robert Garcia, who has coached multiple world champions.
The last time Joshua fought in Saudi Arabia, he reclaimed his heavyweight titles against Andy Ruiz back in 2019 and he will be hoping to repeat the feat this time around. Both fighters will be eyeing Tyson Fury after the Gypsy King extended his immaculate record with a knockout win over Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium in April.
