The Oklahoma City Thunder continue to storm through the 2023-24 campaign near the top of the Western Conference standings as they prepare to host the lowly Washington Wizards in OKC on Friday night.
The Thunder are fighting hard for the top spot in the Central Division with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The battle also includes the top perch in the conference. Friday night’s affair is the second in a home back-to-back. OKC hosts the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday.
The Wizards are saved from the NBA’s cellar only by the lowly Detroit Pistons — but there is not a lot of breathing room between them and rock bottom. Kyle Kuzma has done his best to keep the team afloat, averaging around 20 points per game, but there has not been a lot of fight from this team.
