Just two weeks after meeting in Tuscaloosa, Auburn and Alabama are again set to meet on the hardwood in a ranked matchup Wednesday. This time though it will be played in Auburn’s home gym.
Auburn started the year white-hot, winning 15 of their first 17 contests and beginning SEC play 5-0. Their loss at Alabama on January 24 was followed up with another loss at Mississippi State to cool the Tigers a bit, but Auburn remains an impressive 18-4 overall and 7-2 in the SEC.
Alabama sits atop the SEC standings right now with an 8-1 conference mark while going 16-6 overall to date. The Crimson Tide have been led by guard Mark Sears who is averaging 20.1 points per game, and scored 22 points in Alabama’s recent victory over Auburn.
