How to buy Hytale: All editions, prices, and differences

Hytale has officially entered Early Access, marking the end of a long development cycle fueled by years of community anticipation. The sandbox RPG is not free-to-play and requires an upfront purchase, but that has not slowed its momentum. Within hours of launch, Hytale surged in popularity across the player base and exploded on Twitch, becoming one of the platform’s most-watched games almost overnight.

If you’re looking to purchase Hytale ahead of its release and support the developers in bringing their original vision to life, we’ve got you covered.

Players can purchase Hytale only through its official website, it is not on Steam or major console stores yet. Here are the steps to purchase and play the game:

  • Go to the official Hytale website and make your way to the store.
  • Create an account or log in if you already have an account.
  • Click the Pre-Purchase button.
  • Select any of the three editions you want.
  • Complete checkout and download the Hytale launcher to install the game.

Once you’ve downloaded the game, you can create a new server in exploration or creative mode, and you can start playing.

Hytale all editions, prices, and differences, explained

While buying Hytale, there are three editions with different prices. Each one includes full game access, but higher tiers add more cosmetic content and supporter perks. Regional pricing might vary, but these are the general US dollar prices.

Standard Edition: $19.99

This is the base entry option and the most affordable way to get into Hytale Early Access. It includes:

  • Username reservation lock (remains on full release).
  • Exclusive Standard cape
  • Forest Guardian set
  • Voyager set
  • Savanna Scout set

Best for players who want the full game experience without spending much.

Supporter Edition: $34.99

This edition includes everything from the Standard tier, plus additional extras:

  • Featherbound Set
  • Scavenger Set
  • Arctic Scout Set
  • Explorer Goggles
  • Exclusive Supporter Capes

Cursebreaker Edition: $69.99

This is the top-tier bundle that delivers the most cosmetic content. Best for dedicated fans and collectors who want the most customization. The last edition includes everything that is included in the Standard and Supporter editions:

  • Hope of Gaia Set
  • Void Hero Set
  • Pop Star Set
  • Voidbearer Set
  • Exclusive Cursebreaker Capes

This edition gives the widest range of cosmetics and exclusive items. All of these items are purely cosmetic and aimed at players who want more visual variety and to support the game’s development. If you aren’t a fan of the cosmetics or want to have a smoother experience, we’d recommend you hold off on your purchase until the game’s full release.
