The Florida Gators and Kentucky Wildcats are set for a rematch of their Southeastern Conference opener to start the calendar year on Wednesday night. The ‘Cats earned a road win over the Gators that day in a close 87-85 victory but revenge is lurking in the air.
The Wildcats carry a 15-4 overall record along with a 5-2 mark in SEC play into the game while sitting at No. 8 in the Coaches Poll and No. 10 in the AP Poll. John Calipari’s team is coming off a 63-57 win at the Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday.
The Gators enter the game at 13-6 overall with a 4-3 tally among its SEC peers but are voteless in both major polls. Todd Golden’s gang have won their last three contests but the most recent overtime victory over the Georgia Bulldogs was way too close for comfort.
The Kentucky Wildcats will host the Florida Gators on Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 8 p.m. ET.
