The Roots update in PEAK has added mushrooms of all types, and you can even jump on some of them to travel across the biome.
While mushrooms in the Roots biome have different uses (some are pretty dangerous for your health), you can also use them to guide your movement. If you're in the mood for some high-flying action, you can jump off them and try to bounce at least 40m in the air to earn the Mycoacrobatics badge.
How to obtain the Mycoacrobatics badge in PEAK
There are different ways of obtaining this badge, but the requirement is always the same: jump at least 40m off the ground from a mushroom. The easiest way to complete the objective is by using Bounce Fungus.
When you pick up this mushroom, it shrinks in size. Plant it in the ground, and it will grow back. Make sure to place it in a location with an open clearing. This will let you jump high enough.

To hit the 40m mark, you'll have to select a point from where you're going to jump on the Bounce Fungus. This point needs to be as high as possible from where the fungus is. The greater the distance, the higher the jump. That said, you should be careful not to land outside the Bounce Fungus, as you can take fall damage and even die in the process.
You can do the same with other mushrooms that spawn in Roots. However, you won't get a similar height on your jump, which makes it hard to obtain the Mycoacrobatics badge. Of course, you can also consume certain mushrooms to unlock new in-game effects. The Shroomberries, a brand-new addition, have random effects that rotate daily. You can consume all five of them on the same run to unlock the Advanced Mycology badge.
