The ITV2 reboot of Big Brother is now looking for its first set of housemates. The new version of the iconic reality programme will air in 2023 and the process of finding participants is underway, with applications now open to the public.
The show's website says: "We’re looking for the nation’s most interesting, funny and entertaining characters from all walks of life. Think you’ve got what it takes to be a great housemate?
"If you want an amazing experience and a chance of winning an incredible amount of money, we’d love to hear from you."

Fans have called for the new series to feature 'real' people rather than influencers - and when the show was announced, it was stated that the cast would include "carefully selected housemates from all walks of life." How to apply for Big Brother on ITV2
To apply, you have to be 18 or over, have the right to reside or lawfully reside in the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, and be available for up to eight weeks from Spring 2023.
You can apply via the programme's official website. Applications opened today, October 10, and close on Friday, January 27 2023 at midnight.
The reboot was announced during an episode of Love Island in early August, and will air in 2023.
Who will host the Big Brother reboot?
Emma Willis has confirmed that she won't return to host, with speculation growing about who could step in to replace her. Maura Higgins and Alison Hammond are reportedly among the favourites. BB superfan and former Big Brother's Bit on the Side, Rylan, has also been touted as becoming host, b ut back in the summer he said at that point he hadn't been approached to host.

The show has seen some memorable Welsh contestants over the years and some of them have gone on to do big things. Glyn Wise entered the Big Brother house at age 18, missing his A-Level exams to be there, and went on to finish second place.
The former lifeguard from Gwynedd went on to have a career in TV and radio alongside a career as a schoolteacher. He stood for Plaid Cymru in the 2016 National Assembly election and is now in training to be a priest.
Former Miss Wales entered the house in the same series and said it turned her life around. Lisa Jeynes, from Penarth, spoke out about how the show saw her accused of being born a man and named the most hated woman in Britain.
