How shoppers can get Sky Stream box for £29 a month without a contract

Shoppers looking for a new broadband deal without the commitment can get one of Sky TV's latest streaming boxes without a rolling contract.

The British internet provider recently launched its Sky Stream at the end of last year, but there was a catch - as it was more of a multi-room experience for those who already had a Sky Glass TV set.

However, the box is now being offered as a standalone option via the Sky Website. It means that you now sign up for Sky Stream, get a device sent through the post and plug it into your TV to instantly start streaming Sky services, reports NottinghamshireLive.

Those who purchase Sky Stream can get access to 30,000 shows on any existing television, with the opportunity to cancel at any time within 31 days, meaning you won't be tied into a contract.

There is even the option of a free one month trial before you switch to the rolling contract which comes in at £29 per month.

You can also add in Sky Broadband in your package for an extra £13 per month, or switch to an 18-month contract for £39 per month.

The Sky Stream packages come with next-day delivery - with no engineer needed to set up your set-top box.

It's not the only bundle that Sky is offering customers, as you can also opt for the Sky Glass package that comes with Sky access built in, so there is no need for an extra box.

There is currently £140 off and you can sign up to packages that start at £37 a month, with discounts for your first month as low as £11.

The other option is Sky Q, which is a little different as it is delivered via a satellite dish - that means you get more channels, although your resolution may not always match up.

At the minute you can get Sky Q for £28 a month - but you'll also need to pay a £49 set up and you'll need a dish.
