Mika Baur has credited Celtic coach Mark Fotheringham for helping him settle in Glasgow.
The summer signing from Paderborn, who cost £4.5 million, is still adapting after moving from Germany’s second tier to the William Hill Premiership.
However, the 22-year-old says Fotheringham's ability to speak German has made him feel more comfortable in Martin O'Neill’s squad.
Baur, who made only his second domestic start in Saturday’s 2-1 win over St Mirren, said: "It’s been great with Mark.
"Sometimes it’s a mixture of English and German. He can be explaining something and he mixes in some German words.
"It’s good to have someone to speak with like that. It helps a lot."

Baur created four chances against St Mirren, more than any other player, as Celtic returned to the Premiership summit with a fifth consecutive domestic victory.
The midfielder is still getting used to the intensity and physical demands of Scottish football but has credited O’Neill, Fotheringham, and Shaun Maloney for supporting his early development.
He said: "He’s got so much experience. I just played in the second division in Germany and you can learn a lot from that.
"I had a very young coach, who was in his first year. It was the complete opposite to here.
"I really enjoy it with the manager, and with Shaun Maloney and Mark Fotheringham as well. It’s a great staff and a great coaching team. I’m learning a lot."
